THE ACTION GROUP

JOE THYNE  I joined the military on April 27, 1988 on my 17th birthday (with a waiver signed by my parents). In my military career, I progressed through the ranks first as an E-1 (Private) up to an E-5 (Sergeant). I decided to go OCS and left the service as a captain. My MOS?s (jobs) with the military have been just as diverse; first as a 67V (Observation Scout Helicopter Repairman) serving in Korea for 32 months and then re-enlisting as an 11M (Mechanized Infantryman) stationed right here at Fort Hood in the 2-5 Cav, 1st Cav Division.

I then went to Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA and then to Fort Sill, OK as a Field Artillery Officer. Once I completed training, I was stationed right back here at Fort Hood with the HHB 3-16FA then to HHB 4-42FA and finally at Headquarters 4ID. Due to knee problems and a conscious decision to end my military career, I was medically released from the Army on October 31, 2001.

My wife, Hye Suk, and I have two boys, Nathan and Yoojin. I have made it my mission to help others. My patriotic side is evident in the manner in which I treat people, always with respect and honor.

CHERYL ALLIN ? Cheryl Allin is a virtual member of the Captain Joe Action team. She?s head of Web development and helps the team coordinate all of their administrative functions from  her remote office in Tacoma, WA. A former 98G (Arabic Linguist), Cheryl?s background gives her the discipline and experience required to get the job done right the first time. She?s proud to be a part of The Action Team.

EVALYN (EVY) WILLIAMS ? Evy Williams is another virtual member of the Captain Joe Action team. She?s the copywriter of the group. By writing effective newsletter content and website copy, she helps the marketing efforts of the team. She grew up in beautiful southern Oregon and has obtained her Master?s degree in Administration (with a concentration in Human Resources Administration) from Central Michigan University. Being a military spouse, Evy has traveled to many European countries and lived in Germany twice. She strives to provide insight into military life to better help market The Action Group?s services. She lives in Augusta, Georgia with her family that includes her husband Rick, and children Heidi, Chelsi, and Kory. She enjoys the challenges and rewards of effective copywriting.
